The Tour of Seven Churches ( 7 Days - 6 Nights)

DAY 1 : Istanbul domestic Flight to Izmir (Old Smyrna): Arrive to Izmir, meet at the airport and your transfer to hotel in Izmir.

DAY 2 : Izmir - Pergamon - Thyathira - Izmir: Morning depart to Pergamon (2 hrs drive time), Visit to Asklepion, The Theatre,The ruins of Atlar of Zeus, Red Basilica (Red Court), follows drive to Thyathira where visit the ruins of an ancient Temple, a colonnaded road and a large church. Return to hotel in Izmir. Dinner and ON (B,L)

DAY 3 : Kusadasi - Ephesus - Selcuk: Depart to Selcuk (70 km) and arrive to Ephesus. Ephesus was is the most impressive archaeological site in Turkey. Ephesus was the center of worship fort he Greek god Artemis. On the tour program will be visit and seen; The Temple of Artemis, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, The House of Virgin Mary,The Library of Celsus,The Templo of Hadrian and a large Theatre. It’s where The Apostle Paul was swept up into a Riot as described in Acts 19:21-41. Tradition says that Apostle John came tol ive near the town of Selcuk and was buried on the site of the church of St John. We have return to hotel in Kusadasi. Dinner and ON. (B,L)

DAY 4 : Selcuk - Aphrodisias - Laeodicea: Have our breakfast and depart for Pamukkale. On the was visit to Aphrodisias (Love Goddess city) and Laeodicea (Laodikya) which has a large area littered with broken marble, tops of Stone masonry walls, and The Theatre and The Stadium. Continue to Pamukkale as well know its natural hot springs which have created white travertine formations. C/In our thermal hotel in Pamukkale. Dinner at our hotel. ON (B,L,D)

DAY 5 : Hierapolis - Phidelphia - Sardis - Izmir: After have our breakfast, depart for Hierapolis and continue to Philadelphia, the least distinguished of the cities of seven churches with very few ruins visible today. Ancient Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, is now called Alasehir which hasthick byzantine walls that defended the city in the middle ages. The most interesting ruins are a byzantine basilica built of brick with a high arch and frescoes. The city was destroyed in 17 and 23 Ad because of earthquakes, but rebuilt by Roman Emperor Tiberius and also visit Sardis which is one of the most picturesque area of any of Seven Churches. It is set upon a step hill surrounded by and inpregnable citadel. The city is sprawled below the citadel, where there was a famous Temple of Artemis dating back to 400 Bc. Recent excavations have uncovered a Synagogue, The last meters of the Royal Road from Susa to Sardis and Gymnasium. Depart to our hotel in Izmir. Arrive and Dinner and ON (B,L)

DAY 6 : Izmir: Izmir is 3rd larges ciry in Turkey,having been built on the site of the Grek town of Smirna which includes one of the Seven Churches. Some of the ruins of old Stadium and ancient Agora can be seen on a hill to the west of the city. Tour follows givem free time for shopping. ON at our hotel in Izmir (B,L)

DAY 7 : Izmir - Istanbul: Our last breakfast at hotel and transfer to Izmir airport for our flight back to Izmir ot other destinations in Turkey. End of the trip. (B)
